“Where speed meets distance, distance meets speed, and athletes serve the community.”

The SouthSide Pioneers (SSP) Track & Field Club was founded in 2002 under the auspices of the Fayette County Track Association, Inc., FCTA, Inc.), a non-profit organization registered with the Secretary of State of the state of Georgia. FCTA, Inc.

Since its inception, the SouthSide Pioneers Track & Field Club (SSP) has assisted hundreds athletes in its quest to provide a viable summer track and field program on the southside of Atlanta. Over the years, its membership has seen 20-120 athletes in any given summer season. Since 2003, the team has raised its own support to send its athletes to the AAU National Junior Olympics Championships, the USATF National Junior Olympics Track & Field Championships, the USATF National Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships, and the State Games of America Championships.

The SSP allow athletes between the ages of 8-19  the opportunity to compete in youth track & field.  The SSP are supported by a well educated, experienced and dedicated coaching staff.  As a program, each athlete will develop both mentally and physically on and off the track.  During both the pre-season and the regular season, athletes will gain a great knowledge of the sport.  Athletes will learn the fundamentals of Speed/Endurance training, dynamics, track & field techniques, team building and how to become a well-rounded individual.  The SSP staff strives to bring each member of the community together, developing a team concept, and becoming a family!   Most importantly, "We are here for the Athletes!!!"  We strive to one day witness athletes receive academic, athletic or community service scholarships based on their overall experience in our program!

Attention ALL Athletes!!! The 2017 SouthSide Pioneers summer season is here!
